This is a little archive and art book I found on Wittgenstein at my favorite bookstore in San Diego, D.G Wills.
The bio and archival editing in the first third of the book is done exceptionally well. It has photos and manuscripts I've never seen before and it's really well formatted. The second part of the book showcases about a dozen photo sketches of areas around where W. frequented during his time spent in Norway. Many of the bigger breakthroughs in the Tractatus were written in these areas. The sketches are taken by Guy Moreton. The third part of the book features poems by Alec Finlay. I only featured two in the post because I'm sorry to say that the poems were very poor. I found it fascinating that the press would have asked a poet who is so indulgently romantic and maudlin.
All told, I'm very happy with how well this was done.
